I Don't Want To Grow Up!

What comes up for you when you think about your age?

Is it the number of chronological years since your date of birth?

Do you forget your age sometimes?

Do you feel like a kid at heart?

Does your body seem like it is aging too rapidly or not as firm or toned as it once was?

When we were young adolescents, we wanted to be mature and be adults – we wanted to grow up! That was the thing to do to have freedom and make our own choices.

Now, as “mature adults”, we often say to ourselves things such as:

I want to be young again and carefree like children that I see.

I am concerned about “getting old.”

I don’t like the way I look as I grow older or I don’t like the way “old people” look.

We’ve been looking for the fountain of youth forever.

Most of us, men and women included, want to look young and feel young and have freedom to do what we want.

We look in lots of places for that including herbs, supplements, healing, facial products, exercise. etc to help us look and feel alive and energetic and like we are young and vital again. Any magic elixir will do (grin).

We would all like to take one pill or find one answer to this question. It would be nice if it was that easy. And maybe it is. I am open to an easy answer and the thoughts I have about it now, are really not complicated or difficult. 🙂

I know sometimes I feel young and vital and sometimes I don’t.

I really don’t believe it is about our chronological age and I don’t have all the answers but I will share with you what I have been learning.
